Okay, so im watching deadliest warrior on Spike.com. Its the green beret and the spetsnaz.. The Russian had this cool holster that allowed him to keep his 9mm Makarov without a round in the pipe. He pushes down on the gun and it racks the slide and chambers a round while the pistol is being upholstered.. anyone know anything about these little gems? where to get them, what other guns they make them for?

I see absolutely no advantage to that, and about a million disadvantages.

+1000 Why would you want to carry an unloaded gun an then want to cock/chamber a round while unholstering it?

Sounds cool and all, but very impractical and down right dangerous. Never the less, I've got to see this video.

There used to be several organizations around the world that required condition one carry. I'm not sure which, if any, still do. While I wouldn't care for that style some of the peolpe who had too, were very good at it and made up any perceived problem with practice and mindset. As stated the historical perspective could make it interesting. All in all

they are interesting I remember a few years ago seeing ads and videos of one like a serpa style that did the same thing. as you pressed down it racked the slide and released. Which from a logical standpoint doesn't make sense but it "looks cool"

just tried to find the info or product but failed. I recall it being kydex though
