My Long Range build

Yup gonna run single shot. Too much work involved in getting a long enough magazine. I don't think I could have done it anyway, to eject a loaded 300smk I have to pull the bolt out. 250gr Accubonds are just short enough to clear the ejection port. I usually shoot single shot with my 308 anyway. And I've decided that if I need more than one shot with the Edge then I brought the wrong gun.

What thread pattern is on the muzzle? Is it 5/8-24 for a standard 308 thread? I think I saw that the Phantom 338 was offered in that pitch. Can you post some better pictures of the muzzle and the threading?

Cool rifle. I want to see some pics of your long range groups with that rifle. Should be pretty sweet on a still day.

DG yes it is 5/8-24 I had to call YHM to get the exact spec and the technical guy over there told me that it is exactly the same thread pattern as the 308 but the actual brake is different to prevent a 308 suppressor from threading onto a 338. But of course a 338 suppressor will fit on the smaller Cal. brakes. McMillian has the barrel now so no pics but if your looking for more detailed info. YHM's Spec Sheet

The reason I ask is I have an AAC TITAN threaded 5/8-24 and maybe we can do a comparison of the YHM and AAC 338 offerings with your Edge.

Well I am all for it. I just got off the phone with McMillan and they are saying 6-8 weeks until I have it back so the silencer shoot is iffy right now either way I'll bring it along with my others and when I do get it in I will be spending plenty of time at the range so I am sure we could meet up at some point.
