Supply and Demand fellas. There are not enough gun shops and gun ranges for the demand we have here in OK. Until supply catches up with demand plan in crappy service and being pissed off when you leave the gun shop. As far as H&H is concerned. I shoot their monthly IPSC match with Shannon and a few of the other guys that work there. Plus I have taken Wills gun classes and bought a bunch of stuff from Clay so they all know me by name. I never get poor service from anyone. If you get to know them their all good folks. You know how many looky lues they get in their everyday that don't buy anything ever? It's a lot! They can't determine who is really gonna buy something and who is gonna waste their time trying every color desert eagle with no intention of buying.

Someone asked me a while back why I didn't post here anymore. Too many mall ninjas that don't have jobs and still live in their mother's basement. There, I feel better. Now, as a manager for H&H and a friend to a lot of people on this forum, if you have a problem with a product, price, policy, or a staff member please come by and address it to myself, Trent, or Mike. I/we cannot fix anything if we don't know about it. I refuse to address private matters publicly. If you do not understand why something is the way it is, ask. Glad to help. I love what I do and think that I am good at it. Otherwise, I would not be doing it. Nor would I have this many people that I call friends. Thank you for letting me vent. Hoov

I had a great time at H&H last Sunday. Went with my son-in-law to shoot his .357. I've never shot a handgun before. We also rented a 9mm and an AK47. I think it was the best $100 I ever spent, certainly the most fun I've had for the money.
The rental counter crew was humping 'cause it was busy, but very business like and thorough, polite too.
After shooting we went to the back counter, (I guess he's the gunsmith?) because the barrel shroud on the Dan Wesson worked loose during shooting. The gunsmith said he would have tightened the nut for us if he had a wrench to fit it, but no dice. Nice guy.
Then we went window shopping and had two sales guys ask if we needed assistance.
It was a great visit all around. I know nothing about their pricing, but because of this visit there will be five of us going shooting and renting guns next month.

Well, welcome to the forum and welcome to the shooting sports. There's a lot of good info and good folks in here; any questions, just ask away...you'll get a lot of responses!

In one family?? Dude, you need to get a family membership ... it's only a couple hundred bucks. The dang thing pays for itself in no time ... esp. if you shoot more than once every other month ... :D

There certainly aren't enough ranges or gunshops around. And that's because the profit margin is so low and then on top of that they have to compete with the big box stores. And when one crops up like H&H and they add a bit a margin so they can have good inventory, a nice facility, etc. everyone gripes! In truth, I bet people spend $30 more in gas driving around looking, FFL fees and shipping when they buy online after window shopping there, when they could have walked out with the gun they wanted for the same or less money if the truth were told. :twocents:

I have been frustrated by H&H's prices at times but, realistically they are not that out of line when you consider the product line, facilities, and overhead. It's a great resource for the shooting fraternity. I drive about 40 miles to go there and it doesn't take many miles searching to off set the prices and that's not to mention the a--hole attitudes of some of the larger dealers in the area. I've been a firearms dealer and multi-certified instructor in the past and want to say H&H offers one stop training, shooting, and shopping at a great value.

I went to the gunsmith counter and asked where the gun magazines were. The hand behind the counter pointed over to the periodicals and said "they are over there". :eek2:
Well, I still don't know if they had the 9mm magazine I needed because I went home and ordered it over the internet from CDNN.
Sometimes I'll go in there to pick up something I may need right away and cost isn't all that important and time is.
If I had been feeling a bit testy that day, the hand who pointed me over the Guns & Ammo, Shooting Times, etc, wouldn't have walked off after he pointed the gun rags out.
I just thought he wasn't the sharpest tool in the rack there.
As far as shooting in their range, not until they put bullet proof armor up between the benches. I'm not going to inside a cubicle blind from some less knowledgeable and unsafe shooter next to me. I've stood outside and watched some of them waving guns around inside their lanes and it makes me nervous to think that just anybody can come in there and shoot.
Overall H&H isn't bad, but it's not great either.

I went there today with a friend and while I had done this in the past I got in trouble for it today as I either did not know they changed the policy or they didnt care in the past.

I was on the floor prone sighting in my .308 and I had just got done with my 5 rounds and the guy came in yelling no prone shooting and then walked out.

My answer to this then is put in nicer benches as the current ones are junk. Make they adjustable in height and out of nicer material. It is hard to sight in when the bench is way to tall if you are sitting in those folding chairs.
