Most of them I've shot have been sprayed by a skunk.
Never thought about eating one of them. Its the dog thing I guess. Never thought about eating cat either, but they say the mountain lion is quite tasty.

I don't know how far of a drive it would be for you, but I used to call on James Collins some when I lived in McAlester, and did some good there. They have a variety of terrain on Collins, might take a rifle and shotgun. There's a bunch of little food plots planted, those were my favorite to hunt.

Is it tough going for coyote on public land? I didn't think they got that much pressure, but more and more may be hunting them on public I guess. Who hear hunts coyotes more on public than private?

Now that I've moved back out west, I definitely hunt more on public than private. I've actually had more luck this year than ever before, but it's still harder than the private land I had to hunt around McAlester. Could just be my lack of experience also, but I'm learning better ways to hunt the public I think.

Dripping Springs by Okmulgee has some nice areas for predator hunting. Check the local regulations on that one.

I have heard about Keystone as well, but I have no experience with that one.
