I've narrowed the hosts down to these 3 options:

Example of a SIG p226 SRP:

Example of a SIG p226 Dark Elite Threaded*:

Example of a SIG p226 Combat threaded:

*I'm leaning towards the Dark Elite. I like the sights (and they'll clear the can) and the short trigger reset. Wish it came with the 20 round mags, though.

Next, what is the current best can for the 226? Going for quietest possible (Hence using a 226 host)

Thanks in advance...

The new SWR Octane looks pretty promising. I will be getting one as soon as someone has them in stock. I am waiting on a Ti-Rant that is "supposed" to be one of the quietest 9mm cans on the market right now....I will have it at the Full Auto Shoot at Heartland outdoors if you wanna try it out.

I'd skip on the Elite, just to get away from the beaver tail. It's a useless appendage on the Sig. That's one of the things that made my 228 so much more comfortable than my Kimber to carry, was the lack of a metal spike that stuck me any time I bent. Not to mention the Sig has enough web cover for your hand that it's not needed. Did I mention it's uncomfortable and unnecessary?

SIGs have traditional gone together with the SWR Trident-9 like peas & carrots.

Since the new SWR Octane-9 uses the same type of baffle as the Trident (the Omega baffle), I'd think that the Octane would be an excellent option!

We have the entire first batch of Octane-9s coming to us. :rubhands:
