I'm glad they did that for him! and he'll remember for ever! 
back in 2004 we had a make a wish kid come to our base and be in the Army for a day, he was walking around with the post CSM. I was doing my acap on main post so I could start TDRL and I got caught with my cover off and got to do some push ups for a 7 year old it was funny. He was one great kid I talked with him about the army for a bit and the more he talked the more my heart would crush.
Damn allergies are botherin me too...
