My wife went to the dollar store and got a box of crayons and I drilled holes in a 2x4 shooting those crayons is a blast.
We, collectively as a family own... man I'm not sure. Michele has five, Terran one, Tyler five, me five. Seems like I'm forgetting one or two. Not counting the AR conversion. It's not a gun, just parts. Terran has some catching up, but he's just eight. We all love shooting them, but Tyler not as much. He has tasted power, and is not as content. He's a teenager though. He'll out grow it someday... I think.

I know how you feel, the list of .22's here seems to grow every year. Not only makes more holes, but tends to stay together as well!

I am still early in my collection of 22 lrs, but have loved them from the start. My first firearm purchase was a Remington SS 597, has seen about 2.5 to 3k rounds through it in about 7 yrs and still running like a top. Picked up a SS Taurus version of the Winchester model 63, its a great for open sights. All I am missing i Ruger 22/45, that would make it a nice set.

Don't have as many as I used to, but the .22s and the other rimfires (.22 mags and .17 hmrs) are definitely the most fun to shoot - cheap and fun for newbs and old hats alike.

I miss my Browning Buckmark - may get one of those again too (either a 7.25" pistol, or a Buckmark rifle). I also miss my Marlin 60 and Henry H003 pump a little.
I'd really like to see Remington make the 552 Speedmaster with a 16" bbl - what could be better than a semi-auto that shoots shorts, longs, and long rifles interchangeably, in a short handy config?!
Don't get me started on the .17s - love the hummers.

I just bought an EAA Witness 9mm with a .22LR conversion kit so I could practice with the weapon I will use for home defense without breaking the bank. That is about 4 cents per shot with the 22 vs about 25 cents for the 9mm. Makes a lot of sense (cents LOL) to me!
I have two Browning Challengers, one made in the late 60's and the other made in early 70's. 6-3/4" and 4-1/2" barrels. They are like driving an old cadillac-comfortable, easy, and a pleasure.
