You need to be A LOT more specific! There are some dies I have tried but will NEVER buy again (I won't mention any names, but it rhymes with "pee.") Other than that, I own dies made by just about every other manufacturer. I have tried and like Starline brass ... I guess you would call that a 'cheaper' or low cost alternative. I have probably reloaded brass from just about every other maker, domestic or foreign. I will not buy powder or primers online because of the hazmat fees ... I can either buy it locally or when I make a trip to OKC or Tulsa and pay taxes and come out cheaper. And, I realize that input was probably about as helpful as stepping on your toes, but that's my two cents!

Oh, and ... thanks for asking

Don

Hi,

I like blue, but there are other presses too. I would say to buy quality stuff though, quality will last you for years while cheap will have you griping every time you use it.

Thanks,

Alan

I use a Dillon RL550 with some upgrades. I cannot think of a single thing I'd change on it, and the press itself I find to be reasonably priced. The supplies and accessories (some cost more than others) seem to be what push the start-up price to about $1K. The only step from here is a 650, or to get a group together and invest in an automatic reloading machine. You only have to make about 2K rounds before the machine pays for itself.
