Anyone else have one the HK MP5-22 built by Carl Walther in Germany and distributed by UMX in Fayetteville?

This is the gun that got GSG sued over the design of their MP5 Copy. HK licensed their own copy and released both a FS Rifle as well as an SD version.

I picked up one from another member and must say it is NICE. A hoot to shoot and feels super solid. Nothing is really compatible between the GSG and the new version. Mags are harder to find at this time, but the A2 fixed stock is really nice. The gun ships in the A3 configuration.

I'll post pics soon, just wondering if anyone else has one.

Ive been wanting a GSG since they first came out and a friend let me shoot his. I was just about to pull the trigger on one myself when i stumbled across this new one while searching for info on SBRing and threading it for a real can. Now I have no idea which to buy tho the HK branded one does seem to be more solidly built but it dbl the price of the GSG, which is not surprising if it is that much better built...

Did u get one? if so any input?

Got one on lay-away at the LGS. Probably pick it up in a week or two. Can't wait to try it out. Had it displayed next to the GSG and in my opinion there was no comparison as far as quality was concerned.

Picked up the MP5 22lr a couple of weeks ago and finally made it to the range last weekend. Put about 400 rounds thru it and towards the end it started to have some FTE's. Normally when I buy a new gun I disassmble and clean/oil it before shooting. I didn't have time to do that with this one so I just shot it straight out of the box. It functioned fine early on so i'm sure it just needs a good cleaning/oiling. It only came with one mag so I purchased a couple more at the LGS where I bought it. Definitely good to have the extra mags cuz it doesn't take long to hammer thru one. Took a while to get it zeroed in but finally found the sweet spot. It was shooting so high initially that I actually shot one of the target clips off! All in all I really enjoy the gun and think it will be a fun little plinker.
