Adding some color to the slide??????

I am getting a Ruger SR9 gor the wife. And of course she wants pink! I know the frame can be done and allready have spoken to one of our talented sponsors about that. However I would also like to just color in the SR9
logo that is on the frame. How difficult is this and what product should I use?

on the slide you can use crayons. take the barrel and spring out, get the crayola of choice, and a lighter, heat the letter areas, and rub the crayon over them, let it cool, then scrape/rub off excess.

i did this to my xd about a year ago, still holding strong.

Use paint pens from Walmart... Made by Elmers and in the craft dept... I think they had pink, if not you can mix red and white and itll come out pink.

Dude...I used Brownell's Lacquer-stiks...they are made for filling in roll marks, once cured, they are there for a looooong time.

Woot... knew I had seen this somewhere! Gonna do my AR when it comes in... I like the idea of red, but it's also cliche. I just can't see blue, purple, or green looking good though. White would surely pop, but I am thinking I'd probably get tired of it and wish I had gone another color.

Anyone had any luck changing the color later?

at first i deff though crayon was a joke... but after reading that all the way through i guess it makes sense...

might have to try that one.

I used a crayon on my ar lower and it actually looks pretty good. The red didn't show up very good but the white really does so I done it all in white
