Nope. McD's isn't worth it... but when I have to pay almost $70 up front, wait two weeks, then contact them on my own to get $40-something back... it's kinda annoying. I'm sorry if you feel I went overboard. Looking at your avatar, you don't want to know about the fiasco I had with UPS earlier this year (ok, last year now), when they destroyed $2,000 worth of stuff in shipping to me, and their lying and scheming drivers who deserve to be fired and have to get jobs at McD's. That's whole other story...

Anyways...

Nope, the drivers did several other things after the fact that were dishonest. They lied about attempting to make pickups of the damaged merchandise. Of course, I did call UPS to complain about that, too, but I'm sure that went exactly nowhere.

Wanna defend their drivers some more? I've got photo evidence of the damage, then attempted coverup and documented times and dates of phone calls to the service center as well as proof of my being at home when the supposed "pickup attempts" were made. There's zero doubt in my mind... they lied and destroyed my merchandise and then tried to cover it up and screw me out of the insurance claim by trying to make it look like I wasn't cooperating. When I was the one who filed the claim to begin with. Anyways... if you'd like to debate it, like I said, I have proof. I don't know if you work for UPS or not, but if you do, then you have some seriously dishonest co-employees. Like a lot of other companies these days... not to cast aspersions on you personally, unless you are a UPS delivery driver serving the Bartlesville area. If that's the case, it's possible it was YOU. :D

And no, the items were not packed properly... but that doesn't excuse a single bit of their behavior after that fact.

its the shippers responsibility to file a claim...

why would they lie and destroy your merchandise??? that makes no sense... there's nothing on the truck worth losing my job over..

If I even sense there is damage to a package, I will let the customer examine, since "I" am UPS to them.

They destroyed the merchandise, tried to cover it up (dunno if this was the drivers, but someone at UPS). The driver(s) definitely lied about trying to make pickups. I had the shipper file the claim when it was found to be destroyed. The driver made no mention whatsoever of the damaged merchandise, and my wife took delivery since I was working. She didn't know any better.

And I'm sorry, but I don't believe a UPS driver's job is in jeopardy from damaged merchandise unless they are caught on camera doing something stupid or fraudulent. I honestly don't believe UPS corporate really cares enough to make any real changes. I know my claim was sure treated with little regard, in spite of the high value of the items involved.

I'd call their customer service 1st thing next week and explain nicely why you're not happy. They should make it right. If not, I'd throw that one P-Mag in the cheapest mailer I could back to them and ask for a FULL refund, including shipping, because it's not what you ordered.

^^^^^THIS^^^^^ Hell, yes. $22 for a mag?!!! Who do they think they are? Sig!?
