That is my question and that is will it raise the price of the CC class?
Not unless they changed the cap in the law. It is limited to $60 or $65 by law.
Even if they were allowed to raise it what would justify it?

they had something introduced that would leave it up to the instructors to charge what they feel is fair. I charge $50 when I do it and typically only to it on an individual basis or for small groups. I also don't charge for the .22 pistol and ammo. But OC will increase the demand for CC permits and OSBI won't be dedicating more staff to that division so expect longer waits... maybe even closer scrutiny of the applications..
The current cap is $60. The bill to eliminate this cap never made it out of the House.
I'd be fine if they eliminated the cap. Anyone charging more than others should be able to justify it with the quality of the training, etc. Free the market!
The new bill leaves the cap at $60. Some folks charge less. You can charge for ammo if they use the instructors gun and ammo.
I believe that language was part of the bill that had open carry licenses being given out by NRA instructors.
