Well I am officially sold on Frog Lube, every firearm I took out to the range today has been treated with it and my cleaning time was cut drastically.

So motor oil works just as good as anything? I watched a dude recommending and using wheel bearing grease on his bcg and rails. Looked like that would cause a lot of dirt to get captured out on the range. What about solvent? What do you all recommend? I see a lot of talk on the internet about hoppes and gunslick. What about chemtool? Just trying to figure what I can get right here in okc and having to order stuff over the Internet.

Break Free CLP if you want to get something local if you want an oil that is also a solvent. Hoppes 9 can be bought at walmart if you just want an all round solvent. Some of the smaller shops may carry weaponshield or ballistol, but I don't know any that carry Slip 2000 EWL. I buy a bottle or two anytime I purchase anything from midwayusa online.

I too am sold smell is great, clean up is half the time, and the wear is little to none thus far.

Is this the video you referred to?

I've been using grease exclusively for years. not heavily, less that James shows here actually. and its been flawless. I shoot a LOT of cheap Monarch ammo that is dirty to start with, add on a suppressor and you can imagine how dirty my rifle gets. I've yet to have any issue.

If you have some grease in the garage already give it a try. If you don't like it you can always go buy whatever whiz-bang formula that may work better in your application.
