Economics 101, supply and demand, HA! Except this isnt supply and demand. Its speculation, greed and gouging. Its getting old and i wish ill on all the buyers and resellers who are preying on gun owners.

Sooner or later they'll pay a price for their greed.

Here's an explanation of "speculation":

Don Boudreaux said:
During this morning’s 8 o’clock hour I heard one of the most ironic lines that I’ve heard in some time. That this irony was unintentional makes it all the more telling.

Asked by your “pump patrol” reporter about rising gasoline prices, a motorist at a gasoline station noted that “My tank is actually way more than half full now. I’m topping it off because I’m sure the price will be even higher this weekend.” When your reporter then asked her “What do you think explains these rising prices?” she replied “Speculators.” Your reporter followed up with “Do you think they should be stopped?” The motorist responded immediately: “Of course! They’re criminal.”

Speculating that the price of gasoline will rise, this motorist took action today – buying gasoline that she otherwise wouldn’t have bought today – that puts upward pressure on the price of gasoline today.

Had your reporter pointed out that this motorist herself is speculating in gasoline, I wonder if this motorist would have persisted in regarding speculation as being criminal. I wonder, too, how she would react if government – heeding her advice to stop speculation – were to forcibly prevent motorists from topping off their tanks.

Sincerely,
Donald J. Boudreaux

All anyone has to do is not buy. Gouging is not forced purchasing. As long as there are willing buyers, let them decide the price.

When does the gouging start? At what price point say for 223 ammo? I paid 115 per 1000 in the 1990's. Just paid 500 for 1000 and didnt get an ammo can either. Is that gouging? is 50% margin fair? how about 100%? 1000%? Is it uncool for a guy to get a lower for 150 and sell it here for 300? Perhaps, but it is a free market. He may or may not find a buyer. The market determines that.

Well we had the past 9 years to stock up!!!! Some of us did. When the bad sun set in 2004 I stocked up. When The Big O tricked him self into the White House I stocked up more. I've learned from the past when prices are low buy and don't worry when there high. And then if or when it comes back down buy, buy, buy again.

That just makes too much sense, Kevin. Why in the world would anyone plan ahead like that? :wink2:

I bought all of them to put all over the interwebs with at least a 500% marked up prices. I'm going to make you buy them and you will LIKE it.

I would rather have the OPTION to buy something at an high price than having no option to buy at the normal price. I suspect most of you complainers would as well. I would rather pay $5/gal of gas and get all I want than try to get $3 gas out of a dry pump.
