Ordered a Milt Sparks Nexus this morning but it is 6 months out. Need opinions on what to use in the meantime. Needs to be a leather IWB. Commander 1911

Thanks

Try www.highnoonholsters.com. I have had several of theirs for various guns and been impressed with the quality and service. If you order an in stock holster my experience is they ship the same day.

If you want to buy locally, try Medlock's in Collinsville or 2A and Sports World in Tulsa.

I have used the DeSantis Cozy Partner for smaller firearms and they are in stock on the Bass Pro website and may be in s took in the local Bass Pro stores.

This a nice holster. I have a couple of them and do use them. The one for a smaller semi-auto is a tad bulkier than a Milt Sparks SS II, but not enough to bother me. It's a winner. The one for a 5" 1911 is okay and gets used often. Be aware that on the bigger guns, it has the outside pants portion of the holster, near the front sight/forward slide serrations area, left out. Likely reason is a bulk saver/reducer.

This DeSantis is about 65-75% the cost of a Sparks. If Brownells sells the ready on-the-shelf Milt Sparks SS II for your gun, consider it. Both these two choices are excellent.

I've got a UBG Striker IWB I picked up from a fellow OSA-er for my CZ75 Compact. It's very well-built and reasonably-priced.

When I get some extra scratch, I'll be ordering a UGB for my 1911. Great rig.
