He's either naive or knows damn good and well that his work with schumer and the like behind closed doors is going to lead to registration. UBC cannot happen without it.

I feel Dr. Coburn is kinda selling us out by working with scum like schumer on this deal. I hope he is just working with them to keep track of their plans. even if they get something agreed on in the senate, it is unlikely to ever get through the house.

I hope you are right about it being impossible to pass in the House. But I would not count on it. Offer them enough money or power, along with some sort of plausible deny-ability, and they will act in their own self-interest instead of that of the nation. Holding their feet to the fire is the only way to insure that it does not pass. Keep calling them.

If Coburn has an ulterior motive in working hand in hand with Schumer, he's doing an excellent job of keeping it a secret! Based on his history of reaching across the aisle on certain projects, coupled with his overall moonbat score, I just don't trust him on this one.

I think Coburn is selling is out. I feel that he is a liar and doesn't give a crap about the 2A. If he did he wouldn't be meeting with someone as anti as Schumer. That would be like me working with Obama and Biden or Feinstein. It just shouldn't happen. His receptionist already told me that he favors UBC. He is too smart to know that it WILL lead to registration. And that is the scary part about it.

That's a pretty strong statement. It's also a relief to read it. I take him at his word unless there's something other than speculation to make me think otherwise. He has no reason to lie about it. The left is going to keep whining until they get some red meat. Mag cap is what they're going to be given.

Executive orders are made to help amend and enforce laws. Once UBCs are in place, an executive order can be placed to amend the law allowing registration as they will simply need to show registration is required to enforce UBCs.

This was my first thought, although I'm not that familiar with how EO's work.
