Cattlemen's, on Agnew in Stockyards City, OKC. Get the filet, rare. I've been a lot of places and paid a lot of money for some really good steak, and I STILL haven't found one that is better than good old Cattlemen's filet right here in OKC. My old lady can get REALLY close with a real good cut of meat though.

Man, you got that right! I'm not a purist & I will commit some unforgivable sins, like asking for steak sauce & worcestershire sauce, but when i had the filet at Cattlemen's, all I added was a little bit of salt.

i'll have to disagree, had probably the worst steak i've ever had at clicks

I'm not a fan of flat grilled steaks either. I liked it better than Cattlemans though. Ate there once in the second class non smoking section with the fluid. Steak was pretty bland. Tried it again later in the dead of winter. Dammed flys were still there, and the steaks were still bland.
Rusty barrel in Ponca is pretty good, the best I've ever had was a huge steak house in Kansas City. They had one group of folks tending real wood fires rendering them to coals, and another group cooking them over said coals. They were the steak house selected to cook for the dignitarys at the USA bicentennial celebration at the statue of liberty

my house.....but the service stinks. :)

Maybe so, but your cut-off jorts uniform more than make up for it.

:hey3:

The closest to an amazing filet mignon I've ever had was at The Petroleum Club in downtown OKC, but it was far from perfect. Plus, I much prefer their orange roughy fish.

I've given up on trying to find a perfect steak at a restaurant and because of that, I typically don't go to many steakhouses. So, I'd have to say my favorite (which for reasons mentioned doesn't mean much) would have to be Cattlemen's. It's not too bad, but nothing that makes me want to slap my momma. If I order a steak out, I'll always go for a ribeye or porterhouse.

My favorite steak is done at home. A bison ribeye served up medium rare with just a little garlic, salt and pepper.

The Doc Holiday ribeye at Cimmaron Steak House is good.
I will second the Saltgrass in Norman. I took the ol lady there for our anniversary and my steak was one of the best I have had. I also like their sweet potato fries!

The best steak I have ever had is at La Fortuna BBQ in Duncan. He only serves them one night a week, and it is the best steak you will ever eat.

I have been to men's in Amber twice and both times my steak was so tough, I couldn't finish it. Maybe I just catch them on a bad night?

I'll 2nd the Cimmaron Steak House
