After reading the article, they cannot legally enter the premises and remove the firearms without the resident's permission. This goes back to what I've always said. If the police knock on your door and you didn't call them, don't answer. They cannot help you in any way whatsoever. :(

SO you are saying don't even answer the door? What if they wanted to tell me my car has been hit, or my child was arrested, a mad person broke out of jail? I can always refuse their advances to enter my house.

This is scary. It's especially scary for people who take a psychotropic drug, like Cymbalta, for off-label conditions like Fibromyalgia.

As I understand it, it's been that way in Cali for a while. It's just now with all the media attention, it's getting press.

This gets back to the bigger mental health issue. If you someone isn't stable enough to have a gun, why are they even out in the public? If it's likely they will do harm to themselves or others they shouldn't be out, they should be getting treatment. Period. If they really will do harm then take all the pesticides, drugs, sharp objects, cars, and flammables away from them also, because those could be just as likely to be used.

I don't have kids and if I'm in the house, my car is in the garage. If your kid is arrested, you're going to get a call and if a madman is on the loose, the safest place is in the house with my guns. It they're inquiring about a crime and if I witnessed anything, I'd have called them if I had. So no, I'm not answering my door. :)

I take it for chronic joint pain. The last checkup I went in for, the doc had a new nurse. She started to have me fill out a depression questionnaire. I stopped her right thre and when I saw the doc, I made her show me their records on me to ensure I wasn't listed as having depression anywhere.

If I ever have depression, I'll consult a bartender. It's tastier, the music is better and they don't keep records that can be used against me at a later date!
