Lots of my older friends (mostly ww II vets, and almost all gone now) laughed at the "sexual revolution." One of them told me that WW II was all about one night stands. I know of several family trees with early '40s grafts. My favorite one was a neighbor who got home in '45 after four years away to find a two year old daughter he didn't expect. His response? "One more to love."
My mom told me this little story when I mentioned that one of the girls in that family didn't much resemble the others. Every generation thinks they invented sex and rebellion.
Did you notice not one belly button in the place. The morals board would not let a belly button be shown on screen, it might "excite" the young men.
