To my way of thinking, the kid was being disrespectful, rude, and dangerous. Suppose someone else had been in the car and decided to open a door as the kid came by. Would that have changed your thoughts of why the kid shouldn't be doing what he was doing?

I didn't miss anything. We can "suppose" and "what if" a hundred scenarios but until something actually happens he's just a kid riding a skateboard. Now "if" he was an adult and "if" he was open carrying then I would agree and call the authorities. Those freaks shouldn't be allowed near me, can you imagine if....

Of all the pumps there, you had to take the one with the best island. Just because other islands were available doesn't mean they're as good as that one.

This is the issue/question. Thanks. The kid was behaving in a deliberately reckless fashion such that I was at a loss for words.

I would have grabbed the gas nozzle again, sprayed him down with a bucks worth of gas (not enough to cause any real harm with the current gas prices) and asked him if he needed a light.

He was hoping you'd say something. You saves yourself a lot of frustration by not taking the bait. He didn't want a fight, he just wanted to show you that he could do whatever he wants and nothing you can do bout it.
