I love to squirrel hunt. After about the end of May though, I concentrate on fishing and hold off squirrel hunting until about September. I love squirrels, but I hate ticks.

excat 56, the squirrels are aplenty at Lexington. You just gotta know where to go ;)

Yeah, I had a mighty nice fella drop me a line on where to check out when I went out there. My buddy and I covered a few miles out there on foot, and thought I caught a glimpse of a tail or what i thought was one, and that was all. We went over to a few ponds and the lake as well later in the day. It was pretty warm and my hunting buddy was about as stealthful as a roll of blackcats at times, lol. We had fun though, it was his first experience ever at hunting.

I've never been squirrel hunting but if I had a place to go I would. I've got a really accurate .22 MP5 that is begging to assassinate some squirrels and then cook em' up...yum.

well i threw on my leaf suit and went squirlin yesterday morning, didn't see anything. It was decent, they should of been running around, but nothing. Then i found out i was being stalked, i would walk about 15-20 ft and stop then i would hear something, but just couldn't pin point where the sound was coming from. I got in one spot for about 20 min and i seen i was being stalked by a red tail. No wonder i didn't see anything, not even birds moving. Just don't know why he would follow me about 1/4 mile. I found out my leaf suit help keep the skeeters off of me but it did get a tad warm in it.
