Hiding from all you crazy people!!!
Wow that was rough....
I don't see how all you guys ran it in pants though !!!

I learned a lot from this! Mostly that there will be a big change to my gear next time. Especially how I pack and carry everything. I have no skin left on my right hip bone from my holster and the belt from my vest rubbing on it.
But I did good and will be a lot better next time. Ill defiantly be more prepared!

The event was alot of fun. I was in the last group where we carried a young man to the first stage, that was an asskicker. The heat didn't help either. I met a few people from the sight, which was nice and had a great; but exhausting time. thanks, Soren.

I had a blast walking it out. Lol.

Heck, you weren't the only one. The same guy caught up to me twice...once when I got turned around on the Green trail looking for yellow, and again when I spent a lot of time standing at the bottom of that big gully staring up the bank at that damn barbed wire fence we had to go under. (By the way, thanks for catching me that second time and going first on Stage 4 :wink2:)

It was a great event. The trails were super tough, I had to backtrack several times. I did enjoy meeting OSA members and putting faces with the names. I'm hoping they will post the results soon. I'd line to see where I landed on the list. I'm definitely going to be at the zombie run. See you there.

I agree with others on the gut check. I did my best to run in the few open places we could run, but that extra weight slowed me down quick. I'm glad I wore pants, because that briar was brutal.

My wife wasn't sure about the whole thing at first, but we met up at the vtac board and ran the rest of the course together. Right around the cow pasture she admitted that she was having a blast and said we need to find another event to participate in. Of course, neither one of us was prepared well enough for it.

Also, I was the second one out the gate and after talking to others I found out there was a rope to go up that steep embankment on the blue flags. I wish I would have seen that. I had to use my rifle as a climbing pick to scale it.

All in all a great time. Thanks again to all of those that put this together. And it was cool to meet UMB, skydiver, and allout.

I heard about the trail flagging confusion a lot - we'll do better next time. Thanks to everyone that came out, sounds like the course was a gut check for most of the runners. With all the enthusiasm (even after y'all ran), I'm sure there will be another one very soon. Probably a mil-surp version this winter....any takers?

BTW -everyone showed great attitudes, and persevered, with no real safety issues -that just shows what kind of good folks participate in this kind of event.

The green trail especially was a bit of a bear. I actually liked it though because it required thought and some work to find the trail at times.

It was good putting faces to names! I do wish now that I had run my contour camera though I am afraid that it might've been peeled off my bucket by branches or an obstacle.

Also, 400yds with an 8" AK is freakishly satisfying. :D

You guys could probably not tell it at all but the guy who came with me and ran with me in loafers is not a gun guy at all. On the way home he said something to the effect that, if the people who were so against guns and scared of gun people could come to an event like that and see what kind of people were doing it, they would feel a lot better about guns. He thought you guys were great and you made a good impression on him. Thanks and I will be ready for the mil-surp one. I'd love to run one with a little closer targets with my old M1 Carbine and a 1911. I'm not too sure it would do very well at 400 yrds but maybe 200 would be fine.
