I think it is interesting that we ran it so many different ways. I noticed in the video that cableguy did not go under the barbed wire obstacle the 2nd time. I thought there were 2 different ones but maybe it was the same one and we were supposed to just run past it the 2nd time. So many people missed turns and ran extra legs, etc. Being the first time to put on a race like this one, I am sure a lot of bugs were worked out and the next one will be marked much better. Awesome video Cableguy! Thanks for sharing it.
Yeah I don't even remember seeing a 2nd wire obstacle or even the same one/it never registered in my mind. I know for sure I spent at least 10 minutes running around on the wrong path or on the wrong leg of the right path.

On a side note, the video is still probably being processed by youtube, but the lack of HD quality if bugging me. Hopefully youtube doesn't manage to screw it up.

How many of y'all would like to do a similar course with mil-surp rifles? Dan and I have some ideas, but I'd like to get a guestimate of how many would actually participate.

I am a hunting fool and in the winter, it just depends on what is in season and if I am hot on the trail of something. That said, it I can work it out, I will come. I think it would be a hoot.
And Cableguy, you can see the barbed wire obstacle in your film on the left side as you run by it.

I see it now. It didn't even register with me at the time; I think I was too focused on trying to see those flags.

Depending on the definition of Milsurp, I'm in. SA (Garand, M1A?) or bolt guns (03A3, Mosin?). With pistols- 1911, BHP?
I'd assume no scopes.

I'd love it if this type of competition became popular to run. I could see local Fire Departments (AKA Gun nuts) running them as fundraisers. Hell of a lot more fun than standing on a corner, boot in hand.

Count me in for a milsurp run. I'll have to make some decisions...I've got a Winchester Garand that probably needs rebarreled before I do any real shooting with it...or I could run with with a Yugo reworked K98k I guess.
