That is absurd, Texas Roadhouse makes better steak than Cattlemans. I have tried Cattlemans twice and very disappointed both times. Mickey Mantle's steaks are infinitely better than Cattlemans so I can't even be convinced that they have the best steak in OKC much less one of the top 5 in the nation.

I know Egan personally hes a great guy, runs a clean business and treats his employees well. However, Cattleman's isn't that great, and definitely not worthy of a 10 ten in the country IMO.

I disagree, The steaks that I've had there are better than most. Saltgrass is up there also.

If I want the best then I buy cut meat from Cossey's meats here in Mustang and season myself.

Never been to Cattleman's, but I know everyone I have talked to said it isnt bad, but its not great. If I am going to pay that much more for what I honestly think I do better anyway, it better be one damn fine steak.

Cattlemens is just not that great. I've eaten there many times. Once, after going there with an ex-girlfriend who had just finished sitting for the Bar Exam, I got really sick. I told my Grampa (who grew up in Okc in the 20s and 30s). His response was,"Son, they have roaches older than me there." He was 78 at the time.

I love the history of the place. I love the stockyard area and those shops. It's like stepping back in time, but in my opinion, the food ain't that great.

They never tried Eddies at 21st and Harvard in Tulsa.
Their idea of the budget steak is the 2" thick sirloin that will easily feed 2, especially since it comes with appetizers and baked Potato.
Under $20, what's to complain about.....but order it Rare or Medium Rare....NO other way.
