I'm off on Sundays. I don't have any gear other than a shotgun, waders and a couple of calls that I don't really know how to use. I live in Moore.

swampratt, if your goose hunting over big water, you need at least bb or bbb to bring them suckers down. back when they forced us to go to steel in 89 and the technology was for crap,i"d see a load of steel peel the breast feathers off a bird and watch him fly off!

Dang, that is a tough spot to be in. Well done on being happy for him and attempting to help him. Sadly, not everyone loves by the same code.

I have a feeder on the 40 acres of private land that I hunt strictly because the Labs is small and the deer are infrequent last year (saw 5 deer in 25+ hunts).

If you ever want to hunt and happen to be in the area, let me know.

MIH, if you ever feel the need to head west for a hunt, drop my a line. We can go out on a dry land hunt and stack some mallards and geese up. Man, this gets me excited again thinking about this season new limits on Canada's. :-)

On a serious note, I lost what I thought was a decent friend about 5 years ago over a completely petty and stupid thing like you are experiencing as well. Looking back now, it is a lot more clear to me that he wasn't anywhere near the friend he led on to being. He was just using me and my equipment(duck/goose hunting) to get in on hunts.

That would be awesome FFL! I've always wanted to do a field hunt but haven't had a chance. With the house limit skyrocketing this year, it makes it well worth it. I'll take you up on this when our schedule's allow.

It's a shame how willing some people are too use people for what they have and can offer.

Makeithappen, I was looking for someone like you 15 years ago. Hunted on my own until became to crippled to hunt. I used to have a blind north of the twin bridges area of Thunderbird. Sold my boat, spread of 250 deks, retired my 14 year old dog, He died 10 years ago, and now can only hunt deer from a wheelchair with the Oklahoma Outdoor Outreach. I also go turkey hunting with them in the spring. i suggest trying to find some young zoo student at OU and train them in the field. They guys I trained went to the Texas wildlife dept and the other ins here in OK. Dept as an ichthyologist. Good luck. I started hunting ducks on the east coast 60 years ago, when the deks were made out of cork.

Hello make it happen. Like the screen name too. Anyway, I've never duck hunted but have hunted just about everything else.

I'd be happy to go. I have a guy in my office new here from AR that once he gets his time in state will be hunting duck next year and he's experienced.

Anyway, count me in. I just like getting out in the wood personally. Personally hunting kinda sucks solo, it's more about the friendship than the kill or hunt if you ask me.
