Had aa buddy in Florida that over the years has come out on the right side ofthe lottery. He has come out ahead roughly $100,000. That's between powerball and scratch off tickets. To bad he blows the cash or will go buy a nice new gun only to be broke in 6 months and sell it for bill money. Wish I was lucky as him....

Odds are just too stacked against winning so why even bother.
Plus in many ways its just another tax that for some odd reason many people willingly pay and don't even realize it.
These days I buy guns and ammo with all my disposable income and that's fun enough for me

So 259 million combinations and $550 million up for grabs. Seems like I saw something like $319 million if you take the lump sum. Anyone know an investment banker willing to go out on a limb and loan some money to buy 259 million tickets? Guaranteed $50 million profit.

I only play when the jackpot exceeds 200 million, anything less than that is chicken scratch and would just amount to an annoyance. Actually it's just a way to control spending on them, it seems wasteful to buy them every jackpot so this keeps me to buying tickets just a few times a year.
