Signs have been up at TRH in Lawton and Wichita Falls for a long time, believe it is corporate policy. It's another parking spot close to the front door, regular handicapped parking spots still exist, in number mandated by law. We visit TRH almost once a month, have NEVER had a bad meal or bad service. Do not care for the birthday hollers, but I can live them. The quality / service / price is OUTSTANDING. We eat out once a month, 10 out of 12 months it is at TRH.

Will have to research WWP more. Trace Adkins is a HUGE supporter, is about ALL I know of them. He is gun rights supporter. Time to do some research.

Not sure how this would work or how'd it be enforceable. Does it take away from a regular handicapped space? How do they vet who may park there?

Nice gesture for sure; I'm not crapping all over it. But I am a bit confused / intrigued by it.

no, they still have the legally required number of spots. handicapped is handicapped. i don't see the confusion here.

Okay so we'll assume they have enough of the blue signed handicapped spots....

If I park there, and I am neither handicapped nor a wounded combat veteran, how do they enforce it (assuming this is not a handicapped space in addition to being the WWP project space)? If another handicapped person parks there, but they are not a wounded combat veteran, how do they prove or disprove it (assuming this is handicapped with such corresponding legal privileges, in addition to being the WWP space) and what recourse do they have to boot a handicapped person to make room for a wounded combat veteran?

Best I can tell, it would have to run entirely on the honor system. It's a nice gesture, it really is. But it seems to me like it's more a marketing gesture than a useful one. :anyone:

TRUE, and those who are NOT 'wounded vets' and would park there, have NO HONOR.

I saw a family walking, appeared to be 3 gens. with a young man in uniform with arm in a sling and a visible limp. Older woman saw the sign and asked why they hadn't parked there. Man in uniform says, "Grandma that is there for those who really need it, I can still walk."
