smooth looking car.

I'm going to guess that rear end is worth the money on handling or is it mostly eye candy?. A few years ago I was at Classic Restorations in Yukon when my dad was considering having them rebuild his 68 Mustang. They had a 67 Mustang with a similar setup. he seemed to hint at it being more eye candy than true performance.

I have every intention of rebuilding a classic one day. After doing my CJ years ago I've been chomping at the bit for something a little more challenging. I'm an 4x4 guy so I think a Gen 1 Bronco will supersede a Mustang on that list.

If you don't already own an EB, you'd better go get one.......prices are going up by the day! Prices have jumped like crazy over the last 4 or 5 years. I sometimes get temped to sell mine, I think I could easily make 2-3 times what I paid for it two years ago, and I've done nothing to it.

Yes, a C1 restomod. Complete new chassis underneath with a LS3 and a T5, IRS, Brembo brakes, the works....

Im afraid it needs to be re-gelcoated...the fibers are coming through in certain spots...

Did you blast that one? Pot style blaster?

I didn't blast this one, it had been sand blasted before the customer brought it to me. I have blasted them before, however. I would use soda or walnut shell with professional blast unit. I used to own a soda blasting business, but I sold it all. Now I rent when I need one.

True performance. There are a lot of C2/C3 guys that road race with this setup. It is a Sharkbite rocker-arm coil over design from Speed Direct. They also make front suspension and rack and pinion conversions. I know Jason at Classic, he is a good guy.

Interesting. It looks like a solid setup. Obviously I have never done any personal research on it.

As far as buying a Gen 1 Bronco. Unfortunately my cash is tied up in a new startup business with two other individuals. Once that is up and running I can look at setting aside cash for a Gen 1. I already have my eyes on one Orange W/white top 68 that the owner would currently sell. I just don't have the cash. As long as he isn't motivated to sell it or has someone else approach him before then I'll get it. Little rust lower mileage and a 2 owner. If its gone by then Oh well. My second is a yellow uncut 66 in Wichita Falls that hasn't moved in 3 years. I just have to find the owner of the property.

I can build any make, and model, any style. I have done restos, resto mods, pro-touring, hot rods, low riders, trucks, even built an import or two.

Nice, thanks 71......and you're a lot closer than the other places that specialize in early bronco restoration.
