been doing that a decent bit lately. actually took em out last night...want to find a nice quiet place nearby but don't think I'm gonna for a while yet
Got my boat dewinterized, cleaned out, and put in the water yesterday afternoon. Beautiful clear sunny day, steady south breeze, and the bass were tearing it up. I caught 38 in about two hours of fishing, all in the 2-3 lb range. 15 of those came from the exact same spot, every time I'd cast there I'd catch another. It was right around an old beaver lodge, structure leading out to deeper water. I would liked to have a camera to see what was going on down there, they were stacked up. Most all fish were caught in 3-4 FOW, just a little ways out from the bank. They don't seem to be on beds yet. Looking back through last years pics, I had a phenomenal day on 4/7 when they were right at the waters edge on beds. So they seem to be a little behind from last year. If all works out this weekend, I'm gonna hit the crappie in the creek, and run trotlines in the lake. SINCE WE CAN'T FREAKIN HUNT TURKEYS YET! :finger:

Went fishing on the boat for a while yesterday. Super slow bite still. Did find this girl in about 5 feet of water.
Then followed it up by taking my daughter fishing for as long as she could handle doing one thing. She caught her first fish and was quite unimpressed with it. She touched it and said it was gross. I've got some parenting to do....
