well, cant argue with 5 years! i tried it once yesterday and ya, it was close, didnt use parsley though. when i asked him about it, he said it wasnt complicated, but diddnt give up the ghost

Yep, I couldn't remember what MSG stands for.

We prefer the hand cut rib eyes. Sad that he won't disclose the rub ingredients. They are crack!

You can get a great cut of meat across the street at Homeland. Just ask a meat cutter for the dry aged out of the back and experiment with your own rub.

If a business or individual has a recipe they use in business, why should they share it with anybody?

I like to experiment. Knowing his basic ingredient blend would allow me to tweak proportions. I'd still buy my meat from him so he'd suffer no loss of business from us. Still it's understandable that he keeps it proprietary just to keep those who aren't as loyal from going elsewhere.

I gotcha. I wasn't trying to be a richard. I think we are on the same page.
I try mixing up different marinades all the time.
