We have a poop-eatin' beagle mix. She is a sweet dog, and smart, other than that. Tried putting full packs of red pepper flakes from Mazzios on the "treats", but they still disappeared. Vet thinks she is just keeping a tidy yard.

Sprinkle the food of the dog whose feces is being consumed with MSG. It makes the poop taste bad (worse?) and usually stops the problem. There is a commercial product available called "For-bid" that works the same way.

For the anxiety issue, I can recommend a OTC product called "Composure Pro". It's not 100%, but I've had some luck with my own dog as well as client dogs.

Will he stay in a crate when you're not at home?

GC and I completely disagree on this particular issue ... I don't crate my dogs. Funny story, though ... prophet has left his and his folks' dogs with me a few times over the years. His dogs are crate trained so he would bring their crate with them. When Jackie was still alive, she would go to create with Chris's dogs when I would tell them to "go to bed" ... lol

I dunno if Nero was ever crate trained ... he won't get in the doghouse he has outside, no matter how bad the weather is. He's gotta be the most neurotic dog I've ever had ...

Ok ... I'll try that. Thanks for the recommendations. As long as it's raining, we're good. He doesn't like to get wet ... sissy ... did I say he was a bit "special" ... :rotflmao:
