I wonder how many patients just out right lie or refuse to answer when asked this question. I suspect many. Consequently, information gathered from this line of questioning by doctors is likely meaningless. Another stupid liberal idea.

Good read as well.

I guess it depends on where you get your doctoring done. I had to have a MRI on a knee thing a couple of years ago. When I went in, the attendant told me to remove anything metal from my pockets. I kind of freeked out knowing I had a concealed .40 on me. There was a gun buster sign on the door, so I was in a quandary to tell him I was armed or just walk out. As I was having a hard time walking, I told him about the gun.
He laughed and said I wasn't the first and almost everybody in the office was carrying as well. The sign was for insurance purposes.

Dr. has gun buster sign. First time I saw it, I put mine in wife's purse.
In exam room,Dr. asked me to raise my shirt and he seen my holster. He asked what I carried? Then said the sign was an insurance requirement. Told him I would be getting different insurance. He was looking.

Funny how in most posters experiences the doctor was a cool person. Just wait until they're replaced by someone who's not and you're databased. It is not ok to create a precedence where asking questions like this at a doctor visit is ok.
