This does not surprise me in the least. I wonder if S&W got to bid their M&P?

I just picked up a Shield and I compared the G43 with it side by side. Better features and a more robust gun in the Shield and at a full $100 less money the S&W was a no brainer.

Anybody compared the Sig to a Walther PPQ M2? I've handled the Walther and it very well may be the finest polymer gun I've touched. If I weren't so invested in the M&P platform I'd be extremely tempted...

You know, I dunno if they did or not. He didn't say ... just said they were getting SIGs ...

That's accurate.... Chevy's tend to need a few aftermarket parts to keep them on the road.

BTW, I'm typically no Sig fan but their P22x series is known for their reliability. They and several other handguns will shoot just fine without oil.

I'm not sure what Sig you're talking about but the 226 I have won't run reliably unless it's almost dripping oil. I can run a Glock dry and still trust it to go bang.

Wasn't my experience in owning a 226 and 228 and two different P220s a german and a ST. It's been at least 7-8 years since I've owned one but I don't think anything has changed?

It's tempting me to get one. They are as cheap as $400 new online. But like most I have so much invested in Glock mags and holsters it will be hard to justify it.

And you want $700 for it? pfft...

Yessir, that was the asking price. However as he has an OHP buddy who will sell him one for cost he'll be okay. I'm not selling stuff on OSA at a discounted price because "we're a bunch of good old boys" so I can find the same gun on Gunbroker or Armslist marked up to the going rate. If he had really wanted the gun he would have made me a counter. You can weed out an awful lot of **** by starting high. I'm not into entertaining tire-kickers.

As far as this gun needing more oil than I'm used to using on my Glocks that is a non-issue. He would have seen or felt the lube on the gun at the FTF and we would have discussed it then. Again, tire-kickers looking for a steal because of some non-existent community obligation some of you try to use to your advantage is not my concern.

Guess I'm just the type that likes giving or receiving full disclosure upfront rather than showing up to a gun that had been rode hard and put up 'almost dripping' wet for so we can discuss it's unreliability at the FTF. Some people are upfront and others aren't. You'll have good luck finding a buyer on Armslist.

Whatever Gabe. I've never done a deal with anyone who was unhappy. And you newer guys are always trying to find an angle to disparage everyone but your little bunch of buddies living at Mommy and Daddy's house expecting everyone else to carry you. You are right though it is good to know what kind of person you are dealing with. I can see why the classifieds are so dead here now.

Like I said entertaining tire-kickers and deadbeats isn't my thing. YMMV obviously.
