CLEET Basic Academy Weapon List

I'm going to be going to cleet in early 2016. I'm wanting to buy my duty gun now to get familiar with it but my buddy told me there is a list cleet has for what handguns you can bring. I've looked all over their website and can't find it anywhere. Does anyone have the list or know what handguns are on the list? Thanks in advance.

When I went through the academy, they wouldn't allow Ruger semi-autos on the range. Remington/Mossberg shotguns yes....Glock, S&W, Sig Sauer....yes. Call them and ask

Call CLEET and ask for Rick Amos. He is the firearms rangemaster and a personal friend of mine. He knows what you can and can not have.

heck, I went thru with a smith model 66..............but that was like 40 years ago...........or something like that.
stick with the colt, smith or glock and you will generally be ok.

Your department should know what you cant bring. But its pretty much anything from one of the major manufacturers like sig, smith glock springfield ect.. iirc they will only assist you with parts/repair for glocks, and remington shotguns.

Nothing screams poor craftsmanship like wrinkles in your duct tape

Thanks for the help guys. A buddy of mine here at our agency is going to sale me a Glock at his price. Can't go wrong with a Glock.
