I lost 100+ pounds in around a year. Didn't stop eating anything. Just got the My Fitness Pal app on my phone, let it calculate my BMR set on sedentary. Then picked a deficit of 1000 calories per day (7000 per week or 2 pounds per week). I recorded everything that went into my mouth and all exercise that I wouldn't normally be doing. That extra walk at lunch, bike rides, etc. Weight came off right at 2# per week for 8 months then as I got closer to the goal I backed to 1# per week or 500 cal a day. I've kept it off over 2 years now and am in the best physical shape of my life. I ride my bike as often and as far as I can. It has to be a lifestyle change. If you're on a diet get ready to put the weight back on as soon as you're done. I love taco bell so much. I ate taco bell from a size 42 to 32. :D

I started using the my fitness pay ap about 2 weeks ago, already down 7lbs. Just cutting out sugary drinks and other stuff helps aton on calories.

There is no miracle diet. Exercise is the #1 way to loose weight.

You can eat a dozen burger king burgers a day. To loose weight, you have to overcome the calories.

The fat may kill you too, but you HAVE TO GET OFF YOUR ASS AND MOVE YOUR ASS.

People that think they can sit in front of the TV and have the miracle fat burner keep them slim are wasting their money, and life.

Get off my lawn.
You can lose weight without exercise just like you can with it. If you add up the calories honestly and get your BMR correct it just takes a deficit. Exercise just allows you to eat more and maintain the deficit.

You'll still be in horrible shape if you don't exercise. Out of breath on the way to the kitchen to grab that spinach smoothie.

Just remember as your weight drops so does your BMR so that 1000 calorie deficit for me at 199 lbs equals a 900 calorie daily intake, at 179lbs to continue with a 1000 calorie deficit my daily intake has to drop to 775.

The more you lose the harder it gets to lose unless you are burning it somewhere.

Your correct on all points.

My point was that if you reduce calories, and introduce exercise, the weight loss is increased exponentially.

I dropped the first 20 pounds with no exercise. Then, when I discovered that I actually had abs, I started strength training to firm up my core that was being revealed. I don't think weight training sped up my weight loss, but it's helped to tone up my stomach/chest. I'm still not doing aerobic exercise, but may at some point. I'm now down about 40 and just need to take 10 more off. Hopefully I can do that by year end.
