We like to go after Thanksgiving first week of December, perfect weather even for swimming. Even have heaters in the pools if it gets a bit cool. Wake up early and get moving , plenty to see & do.

Don't rent a car unless you just have to , too many accommodations & things to do if you don't get bored easily. We have been 3 times in the last 4-5 years and always see/learn something new..

Booking thru an agent is the same price as booking thru Disney. Just give them some information & enjoy the hassle free vacation. If they know what they're doing they even save you money with the right promotions & dining even if they come out after you book.

We've been to Disney World 5x since 2000. The most recent a couple of months ago.
Stay on property
Book through Disney
We liked the meal plan better than the time before when we didn't have it.
Lots of websites showing tips : best day for each park, how to use fast passes, etc. Look at a lot of them - they are helpful

It's a vacation - just have fun!

We have been 3x in the last 10 years. Planned everything ourselves and did so well in advance. Most recent was june 2014. Stayed off property at time shares all 3 times. Plan on 1 park per day or you feel like you do nothing but rush around. The wrist bands are cool and the photo pass is a must and totally automated.

Universal has smaller parks and we did do a park hopper there. Plan on eating at the citywal as there are many fun places to eat.

We went to the main park early and stayed until the fireworks at 10 PM. It was horrible. Go home in the afternoon and come back if you want to see the fireworks. 14+ hours there is BS. We were down there 10 days and the 1 extended day at the main park was the worst.

The older I get, the more I hate the heat. They need a Northern state Disney.

When I was a kid my parents took me to the Disney World outside of Las Vegas. It was a lot smaller than I thought it would be. I guess they must have closed it. But, I did get to take a pic with Mickey and Minnie.
