Workplace & Bars are not the same situation. I'm sorry you'd let a friend/co-worker do this ,If this is how it went down. You must own Freddy's or eat there often. I don't do bars so I'll leave that for you to do. I'm done here.

The manager of the restaurant says she was not fired nor was she intoxicated.

And just because she wasn't high and/or drunk when leaving work doesn't mean she wasn't when it happened.
The entire situation is sad, families will be affected the rest of their lives, those injured will have lifelong disabilities and suffer pain daily. It was uncalled for and avoidable-had it not been for the booze and quite possibly drugs.
Did the manager verify that she left there immediately prior to the incident?
My daughter goes right by there on her way to work and gladly had been thru there earlier than when the accident occurred. Wife was there with friends also to see the parade and go to the game and it was hours before I found her, safe thankfully. Some sad shite.
