Bulls are good eating and the cows are even better. We just finished the last of the bull I shot down there 2 yrs ago.
I had put in for about 30 yrs before I drew a tag. I was tempted many times to apply for the cow tag but didn't and it finally paid off.
If I had more vacation time I would help haul out the elk just to see the place and the elk and buffalo again.

Nice write up! Sounds like a good time! Area H? With that many bull sightings I would almost bet that was the area you were in. :-)
I heard one ranger say to another on the radio while riding back to check station. (I bet there was a lot of elk in G we pushed them from H during the deer hunts).
