They didn't. But they were the only team to beat them during the regular season.

I don't hate OU, I H-A-T-E them with an unbelievable passion. I guess growing up and being raised in the big country south of the red river it just gets ingrained in you.

Wow to each his own but the word hate seems pretty strong for a reference to college athletics??? :confused: So do you hate very many other things???

Yeah, sorry, I am a die hard OU fan, but I sure don't HATE any of the other teams...it just seems pretty strong to me too. I HATE child abusers with a passion, I HATE a "man" who hits a woman, I hate Islamic terrorists that wantonly maim and kill, but I don't hate the Texas Longhorns, I just root against them when they play the Sooners is about it. Haters oughta see a shrink maybe about this sad unpleasantness in their petty lives.

No unpleasantness in my life. And yes, I've run into many OU fans whom hate with a capital H Longhorns fans. It's understandable though as the rivalry goes so far back.
I actually shouldn't despise like I do, since I've been here six years, love the adopted state and am really ambivalent to the crappy team from Texas. Just can't let it go. Yet. But I am working on it.

IF, big IF, I had to field an Oklahoma team, it would OSU. My sister-in-law goes there and several of my family have worked there or had a professorship there. I had a great uncle who ran an AG farm for them.

If it's any consolation, I nearly equally despise Arkansas as well. Even if my wife is a huge fan. I cannot stand them from the bitterness between them and the Horns during the SW Conference. Some of those games were brutal. I have family members who have personally be in the fights in the stands.

I lived in Arkansas (Little Rock and N. Little Rock) for two years and further worked there for several years. Those fans were some of the most arrogant you could ever imagine. To this day, it is hard for me to watch an Arkansas game. I'm watching Arkansas and K-State right now just because I'm rooting for K-State.

If you haven't gotten a clue yet, never bet on a team I root for.

Then you'll be happy to know that they are demolishing Kansas State right now. ESPN is ejaculating over how great they are, and how great the SEC is, while they are playing a K-State team that really shouldn't be in a bowl in the first place, a KSU team using a wide receiver as QB, and both lines way into the two and three-deep because of injuries....but they are just embarrassing the Big XII by whipping on a lower tier Big XII team. I kind of like Arkansas, but all of the SEC homer-ism is pretty nauseating.

Mixon laid a serious face smash on a woman who slapped at him then ran from the scene after he did it.

If the Norman PD or the establishment owner released the video he would have been booted. Everyone with power did everything they could to keep that video from the public eye. What kills me is Perine is from what I can tell a class act, and a much better back. OU didn't need Mixon this year, especially with Perine and Mayfield, those two guys are fantastic football players.

Would you really stand in front of your daughter after receiving a blow like that and say "well, you ought not to get uppity, and coax a big time football player to hit you, did you learn your lesson?"

I think most father's would want his head on a platter.
