What's the skinny on buying and filling a scuba/compressed air tank for PCP use?

PCP Newb here. Recently bought a Benjamin Discovery, I can see where the hand-pump has some limitations.

Anybody know what's involved with owning and filling compressed air tanks?

Back in the days when I was diving, you could buy a tank at a sporting goods store. It could be inspected as needed and refilled at any dive shop that had the equipment to do it. If you're going to use it to recharge a pellet gun, I'm sure a compatitable regulator will be required.

my boss is into air rifles(among other things), what he did was to get a bottle of Co2 (we're a weld shop) and fills his smaller air gun tanks out of it
