I asked this same question back when there were a couple of people on here hocking their tint service and nobody bothered to answer. :anyone:

So...

I found this:

http://www.tintcenter.com/laws/OK/

Oklahoma Tint Law Enacted: 2005
HOW DARK CAN WINDOW TINT BE IN OKLAHOMA?

Darkness of tint is measured by Visible Light Transmission percentage (VLT%). In Oklahoma, this percentage refers to percentage of visible light allowed in through the combination of film and the window.

Windshield Non-reflective tint is allowed along the top of the windshield above the manufacturer's AS-1 line.
Front Side Windows Must allow more than 25% of light in.
Back Side Windows Must allow more than 25% of light in.
Rear Window Must allow more than 25% of light in.

HOW REFLECTIVE CAN THE TINT BE IN OKLAHOMA?

Similar to sunglass lenses, some tinting film contain metallic elements that help in reflecting incoming light and reducing the glare and heat generated by visible light.

Front Side Windows Must not be more than 25% reflective.
Back Side Windows Must not be more than 25% reflective.

OTHER OKLAHOMA RULES AND REGULATIONS

Restricted Colors No colors of tint are explicitly banned.
Side Mirrors Dual side mirrors are required if back window is tinted.
Certificate Requirements Manufacturers of film need to certify the film they sell in the state. Ask your dealer if they are using ceritified film.
Sticker Requirements No sticker to identify legal tinting is required.
Medical Exemption State allows medical exemptions for special tint. For more details about the specific terms of the exemption, consult your state law.

Oh... and here's the legalese version:

Ive been pulled over a few times mostly in small towns in Iowa and California but never in OK in my car for its tint. (Exhaust, numerous times and only in OK). The SUV Ive never been pulled over in it for its tint. Had them both done at Alta Mere in Tulsa. The SUV has the (legal size) purple tint at the top on the windshield too.

I've had 5% on all 3 without issue, but it's still illegal and I know it is. Most officers don't have a light machine to test output, so perhaps that's why it's not really enforced because otherwise it's just a guess. I've been pulled over plenty of times in those cars, yet not a single word about my tint.
