That's different. Those are accepted industry jargon. In my workday one RTs for POR, LOP, and LOF after PWHT if the JI calls for it. Don't use FCAW on this job and be sure to the PT and UT certs are in the file and can you tell me the MDMT and MAWP on that s&t? WPS and PQRs better be approved and current, don't get an NCR, and send the PE the MTRs, double check the WFM etc etc.

LGS isn't even the worst one. We'll have threads here where something that has only ever been discussed in said thread gets abbreviated. It's weird.

You can stop with the welding and inspection porn!!

There was no bad attitude exhibited to the OP. He's upset that we weren't as excited about buying his gun as he was about selling it.

We tend to only buy guns that we can get into right and sell within a couple of weeks, that requires that we be able to offer the gun at a very attractive price.

As a favor to OSA members I'm going to share this secret. You are not obligated to accept any offer on your property, you are free to laugh it off and walk away with your property in your hands.

LGS owners seem to think they are in the pawn business these days. Fine. When Academy drives you under you can thank yourself.

I had a friend that was an employee of a gun store in CA near a military base. He told me it wasn't uncommon for guys to come in buy a gun and return within a month or two trying to sell the same gun back to the shop. The shop offered them somewhere around 25% or less of the original selling price for the gun and many accepted the offer because they needed the cash.

Everyone involved in this discussion should know the only reason i even went to your establishment was that I like one of your partners. I'm thinking now he didn't remember me because when I handed him the gun he turned and handed it to you? Or whoever the guy was. It's really easy to laugh about now I guess, since who cares what one old guy thinks of your business. He(or you, (not sure who you are) could have just as easily said hi, introduced himself and said he'd rather not trade or couldn't do me justice on the gun. No big deal....it just drove home the point for me. It's probably best I buy on line .
Guess my expectations are out of line with reality huh? By the way if you'd like you can pm me and discuss further.

I'm out
