HJR1009 Conference Committee Report will be heard Wednesday at 10:30 am with Rules Committee. THIS IS THE PREMEIRE BILL of the OK2A and to protect your Second Amendment rights. Please politely call and email the committee members to support the bill so it can become a state question for the ballot in November.

Oklahoma City Thunder, OU oppose two gun bills pending before state Senate

Repeating Chamber's line from last year that protecting the rights of citizens is bad for business. One Senator saying that the Thunder will leave OKC is HJR1009 passes.
who cares if they leave, they're only in town because of the team, i'd almost bet none of them live in or around OKC, other than during bb season
hell if it'll help, i'll help them pack, they can take the norick, humphrey, coronett, bennett with them, we don't need the goober mafia anyway

The Thunder are good for the economy and Oklahoma and many people would choose the Thunder over their liberty. What is important is that saying the Thunder will leave is a lie. Louisiana has the same wording on the books and their NBA team didn't leave. Event coordinators that lease or own a facility will still have control over gun policy in that facility.
