I know that the prize package for the Oklahoma City event is one of the best in the country!
The event this year will be at the Fairgrounds not the Cowboy Hall of Fame.

I was on the committee in Amarillo and Lubbock many years ago, Believe it or not Lubbock had the largest turnout of any banquet in the country by a lot, ( over 1000 attendees) It was so large that Wayne LaPierre attended and I sat next to him during the banquet and got to visit with him, He is a pretty cool guy ! I also worked with the Tulsa committee for a few years and now just donate and try to attend the banquet every year. I have won several firearms including a Kimber .45 a couple of years ago ! It is a very worthwhile cause and all the money goes to support kids and womens shooting and training causes and DOES NOT go to the NRA in D.C., I have had many people say they won't support the cause because they don't like the NRA. It is a very worthwhile cause so If you can go and if not you can buy raffle tickets to certain raffles and not be present and still win ! Check them out !!!!

What goes on at these events other than a raffle and food? Do people open carry or is it more of a party event with drinking and so forth?

I guess I'm finally ready to accept my middle agedness and consider going to a "banquet."

It's mostly raffles, food and drinks. Fun

I haven't seen anyone open carry.

Thanks for sharing this link! I went to one in Bryan County, OK a couple years back with my dad. This one looks to be a lot of fun.

I'm curious about attending one of these as well and would like to know more. Is there a speaker or just food, drinks, and mingle? What's the agenda look like? Might be able to make the one in Stillwater.
