Are Troy or diamond back or any premium Sights worth it?

Agree, I like the offset sights for backup. Picked up a pair of cheapo troy clones and they work just fine. My deal with that is if it comes down to hey I need a backup NOW I don't have to try and remove something else to use them.

If they're truly backups and your optic is high end like an Aimpoint? Not worth going more expensive than the MBUS. If you're using a cheap optic or using folders as primary, yeah it's worth it. In order of preference, my list would be KAC, Bobro, Troy and MBUS Pro.

I have Magpuls on my .300 Blk pistol. Eventually they will be actual "back up" sights to a red dot / holographic sight; but for now they are primary. I think I remember reading a test with several name brand sights and the Magpuls actually did better in the drop test than some of the aluminum models did.

I have the Troy Folders on my Daniel Defense and love them. Pricey, yes but so was the rifle and don't want to put cheap crap on a nice rifle.
