It's a bit much to have to pay $5.00 shipping on something that's being sent USP that weighs 0.045 and for it to take 8 days to deliver.
It's me huh?
Never satisfied.

Guessing the 8 days was USPS "First Class"? I've noticed that they often tend to let things "sit" one place or another for several days, guessing they want everyone do pony up with "Priority Mail" if you need it in less than a week - even if it's just coming from, say, Dallas or Ada.

Did there live chat complaining about the shipping. Girl was not helpful at all and a little gruff. Told me if I ordered more than 100 bucks they could do free shipping. I told her if her shipping cost go any higher, everything will be over 100 bucks.

Okay, so here's my most recent Midway story.

Ordered a few pieces on December 22nd - the site said "Ships Today" so I ponied up for next business day shipping to make it before Christmas. Got an email later that day with a tracking number telling me it was "shipped". BUT ... UPS didn't show they had it, not that day, and not until the evening of the 23rd - so it didn't arrive until the 27th. And when it did show up - it was the wrong order, not even close to the items I'd ordered.

So I called them. Turns out by "shipped" they mean it's in a container on their loading dock, not that it's actually "left the building". So they refunded shipping and reshipped my items overnight. Next day I got quantity (1) of the items I'd ordered quantity (2) and quantity (3) of. So I called them again. Next day I go the rest of the order. In the meantime I return shipped the "wrong" item (a set of silver colored Leupold rings) they'd sent me.

In this entire process I'd pretty much given up/forgotten about getting the shipping refunded (the first thing I'd asked about by email, even before I got the wrong item delivered). However, once they got the rings back they refunded their cost to my account (that they'd never billed me for since they weren't on my order) as a gift card/store credit/whatever. I thought about calling them back again but decided to just count it against the shipping and trouble they'd caused.

Anyway, no real rant but dang if I won't look elsewhere first from now on.

I've had similar happenings as Sanford described i.e., I paid extra for two day shipping, because they indicated it would ship that day. I got an email that my order had "shipped" but no tracking label was created till 2-3days later. After that it truly was 2-day shipping but the 2-3 day wait made me so mad. I've fallen for this twice. If i can help it, these asshats wont get my money anymore.

Sounds like they are getting a little too big for their britches.
Or maybe just a few off days.
I have had really good luck with them.
I have things I want to order but I try and wait until someone near me needs stuff also And I will pay shipping on the order.
But I have the other guy order it and I pay him in cash when it arrives and I pick it up.

I like cash..

Hopefully I have better luck, just ordered from them yesterday... normally order from brownells, but midway beat thier price by 2.00 bucks.

I have had exceptional service from them for several years. In the last three weeks I have placed three orders with them, two were free shipping, and all three were received in three days or less. One didn't work so I requested a return and had a refund within four days. Maybe I've just been lucky.

Man I order from them all the time. And yes their shipping does seem a little hi so I rarely order anything down in the $10 range. I probably order twice a month from those guys and sometimes I get it in 2 days. I only use their cheapest shipping option. I order from other places like brownells also but it seems to me Midway is always in line with someone elses shipping or make up for it being cheaper on the items I order. Anyway, I have no local stores so if I want something I order it and deal with the shipping cost.
