From Aero website:
Q. Are your receivers forged or cast?
A. Our receivers are machined from 7075 T6 aluminum forgings.
Q. What brand of forgings do you use?
A. We use several different sources but our forgings are primarily from Anchor Harvey and Cerro. We have found both of them to offer the highest quality forgings.

i kinda thought the A was for Anchor Harvey, i had a 16" chf barreled 6.8 that had the square mark which is for Brass Aluminum Forging Enterprises

I have what I think may be a Brass Aluminum Forging upper and lower.
Early model of the Remington R-15 in full camo pattern manufactured by Bushmaster and rebranded by Remington. After a thousand rounds or so the brass color started showing up in the wear areas. Wondered what the heck until looking this company up.

few years back i bought some Armalite carry handles from Botach, they had the square forge mark. last year i bought a couple of complete PSA uppers for friends, they had the square forge mark, prior to that the uppers i got from PSA had the A forge mark. i don't recall seeing any forge marks on the lowers i've used from PSA. Not saying there were no forge marks, mostly i wasn't looking for them. except for personal stuff (only because i like matching stuff) i've never cared who made the lower. if it pins up and fits ok, and will go boom when put on the upper it's good to go.

A $45 Anderson from Fatboy Tactical is all a guy needs. Anything else is just because you want to spend $$! That said, I think my Sig 516 and my LWRCI REPR lowers are billit.

I did one rifle with a Battle Arms Development billet upper and lower set. They were nice... but 5x the price nice? Not unless I was specifically building a rifle to be fancy and purdy. Which I was.

Considering a Seekins billet set for another one, but again, for the same reasons.

I'm not so sure I would agree with an Anderson being the best, for the money. I am far from and expert at AR lowers, but I have purchased 5 different ones. The Anderson at $45 is only about $15 less than the last Aero I purchased. the fit and finish on the Aero is defiantly $15 better. Having said that, when the big show in Tulsa happens, if I can get either for $60 or less I will buy at least 2 more.

Watching this one I'm in the market for my first total build wanting a purdy bench heavy barrel gun. I've put together a couple lowers and put complete d uppers on them. I know it will probably expensive but that's what I want. My son wants to build one himself with his own funds so it probably be mid range to budget for him working and going to school. Can't buy a lower for himself yet but his birthday is in 2 months so I get him a lower and maybe an upper to match. I'm taking notes but probably be asking more questions later after his b-day

Your best bet would be to go with Spikes and have him pick out which pic engraving he wants. Spikes has a good assortment to fit most needs.
