Well, this thread inspired me to do what I had planned to do for the past several years. Every February I would plan spring projects, including spraying for crabgrass, but always put it off and the next thing you know it's summer time. So this morning I went to Atwoods and bought the 25 gallon Master trailer sprayer and the Compare-n-Save Sand bur and crabgrass killer with plans to get it done today before the rain comes in.

Unfortunately, I spent the entire day trying to get the manifold to properly fit the pump and was not successful. Master Manufacturing does not have weekend phone support and my google searches also came up empty. Should have just went and borrowed my friend's sprayer that I put a new pump on a few years ago when I borrowed it to spray for bugs and fertilize.

By the way, at my home the clover is green today, some bushes were flowering, and wild onions are up.

Post some pics here, I bet someone here can help you get that set up.

I screwed up today, getting started on blading our driveway that is 3/10 mile long. Then started cleaning drainage ditches and pushing fallen limbs and trees back into the woods. Next thing I knew it getting dark and didn't get the yard sprayed. Looks like the rain is about an hour away. Looks like more in the forecast so there is still time.

It doesn't appear to be very complicated, but I where the male part of the manifold goes into the Outlet Port on the pump I can't get it to seat deep enough for the Outlet Port clip to slide into place to hold the manifold.

Needs a 1/4 or 1/2 turn to seat it into the outlet of the pump, then slide the clip over?
Suspect there is an O ring in the fitting somewhere. Most are viton for chemicals and are typically a little harder than a buna O ring. Have you tried a little vaseline for a lube if that is the case?

Vaseline is my next move. Had to give it up tonight to get other things done.
Will give it another go Tuesday or next weekend. Will probably have to disconnect everything until I get it seated so I may as well buy some real clamps to replace the cheap plastic ones that came with it. There is an O ring but it appears to be pretty pliable.

Incorrect. Several post emergent herbicides exist for goosegrass. My favorite is a combo of Dismiss and Revolver.

I found those last summer, but at $180 & $260 per bottle, roundup remained king lol... Might as well pay someone to do it for you at that price point, but men don't let men touch their lawns.
