I only used Cabelas for bulk ammo, but Sportsman's guide or Midway is my regular go to now.
The Cabelas outdoor clothing is very good unlike the BPS branded stuff. And yes they run ammo on some decent sales occasionally. Get on their mailing list. Use a email address dedicated to this, but you probably already know that. Midway is the only place I've ever seen my SD shotgun ammo at period. But they have nice sales too once in awhile.
Sportsmans guide and Midway's shipping and handling typically negate any sale savings.
i recently purchased some Browning rod and reel combos. They were on sale for $39.97 and regularly $49.99. At least they were on sale online. They were not on sale in the store.

The PSA is; look online before you go into the brick and motar store. Because, and this was the comment from management; they will not show the sale price in the store and you will be charged the full price. Unless, you tell them that the item is on sale online, and it helps to have the price and item ready to show the cashier on your phone, then they will give you the sale price.
After the comment, I put another notch into the "why I don't like Basspro" black book.
Depends on the cost of the Item you're ordering if the shipping and handling prices are negating sale prices.Midway has 5.56/2.23 ammo pretty good these days. Sportsman's guide usually beats Cabela's pretty consistently on price, especially after paying for the membership. They also ship much faster..

Cabelas and bass pro are ridiculously overpriced. I don't see how they stay in business.
