Pick a variety of Tiff bermuda, over seed your existing bermuda during the end of April/first of May. Water, water, water for a month. After a month, use Scotts fert with 2% iron every 4 weeks, and buy a McClain or other type of reel mower and as long as your yard is table top level, it will look like the apron around a golf green. When we lived in town, our 90yo neighbor's yard looked like this, and I asked him how to go about getting mine to look like his. After one summer, our yard was completely transformed. You'll have to mow about every three days, cutting about 3 days is the only draw back. A super tight, established, healthy bermuda yard will somewhat keep itself free of broadleaf weed problems. Tiff bermudas plus the 2% iron will make a very dark green yard.
